Education is a multipurpose process, which not only inculcate social, economic and cultural awareness in humanity, but is also an important medium for grasping and promoting life enhancing values among human beings .It awakens the potential among people so that they are able to reconginse turth,beauty and goodness. Value Education propels mind and soul towards achieving equilibrium which enhances the personality and promotes mental and spiritiual strength as well as clarity and resolution in one's aims.

The Government of Goa in 1986 created Directorate of Technical Education to :-

Chhattisgarh is a state of prospects. Endowed with abundance of forest and mineral resources, it has great prospects of industrial development. Rich in minerals like Iron-ore, Bauxite, Coal, Lime-stone and being power surplus state, there is tremendous scope for Steel and allied industries, Aluminum industries and Cement plants in the state. The state is surging ahead in the path of development.

Technical Education in Assam started with the establishment of Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering & Technology at Jorhat before independence in 1927. Establishment of Assam Engineering Institute and later establishment of Assam Engineering College was the beginning of Technical Education in the State of Assam. It has been a long journey of evolution of State technical Education in the State of Assam. Directorate of Technical Education, Assam was established at 1960.

Directorate of Higher & Technical Education is the Nodal Agency sponsored and activated by Ministry of Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.

Directorate is headed by the Director of Higher and Technical Education and office is located at Itanagar. The Director is the chief person to control the whole activities and he is supported by Joint Directors and Deputy Directors.
